报告人简介：
Prof. M Goodfellow, chair on Bergeys board of trustees. Mike Goodfellow is internationally recognized for promoting actinobacterial biology and prokaryotic systematics, and has received numberous prizes and honorary degrees. He gained a Ph.D. at the University of Liverpool in 1966, and further developed his interests in microbial ecology and microbial systematics in postdoctoral positions at the State University of Pennsylvania and the University of Leicester. He joined the University of Newcastle in 1969 where he developed courses in microbial systematics and biotechnology and managed the Microbial Resource Laboratory for over 30 years focusing on the development and application of state-of-the-art procedures designed to advance the systematics, ecology and commercialisation of actinobacteria. He is facilitating the development of a UK-China Partnership to promote marine biotechnology, notably in the pharmaceutical domain. He Chairs the Bergeys board of trustees and is passionate about promoting advances in, and enhancing the general understanding of the extent of actinobacterial diversity in natural ecosystems and manmade habitats. His future work includes the taxonomic revision of the genera Amycolatopsis, Gordonia, Nocardia, Rhodococcus and Streptomyces.
刘志恒，男，1940年5月出生，中国科学院微生物研究所研究员，博导。长期从事微生物多样性和放线菌系统分类学及资源开发研究，在国内外发表研究论文150余篇。主编《现代微生物学》、《放线菌现代生物学与生物技术》、《放线菌系统学》、《放线菌研究及应用》。曾任中国科学院微生物研究所学术委员会委员；中国科学院微生物研究所菌种保藏中心主任；中国科学院微生物资源国家开放实验室学术委员；中国科学院典型培养物保藏管理委员会理事；国际菌种保藏联盟会员、生物多样性专业委员会委员。现任中国空间科学学会常务理事、中国空间生命科学专业委员会和生命起源与进化专业委员会副主任；先后承担有国家自然科学基金、国家863计划、国家载人航天工程、中国科学院创新工程等项目中的多项研究课题。主持中国科学院－英国皇家学会、中国－波兰、中国－比利时等多项国际合作研究项目。主要研究方向是原核微生物分子系统学、资源学和空间微生物学。
