关于举办“An insight in the synthesis of ulosonic acids analogues and their functionalized bicyclic precursors.”学术报告的通知

报告题目:An insight in the synthesis of ulosonic acids analogues and their functionalized bicyclic precursors.

  报 告 人:Dr. Michel Baltas(Université Paul-Sabatier, France)

  报告地点:理学院二楼多媒体教室

  报告时间:2009年10月19日上午9:00

报告人简介:He was graduated from the University Paul Sabatier of Toulouse, France, in 1981 (major in Physical Organic Chemistry). Then he performed two doctoral works in Molecular Organic Chemistry (1981-1984 and 1984-1987). During the second term, he worked for Roussel Uclaff INC before joining (end of 1986) the “Centre Nationale de la Recherche Scientifique” (CNRS) in the current laboratory.

In 1996 he performed a 14 months research work with Prof. A. Vasella at ETH, Zürich, Switzerland. During the ‘90s, he developed new methods of elaboration of polyols and aminoalcohols systems possessing three or more contiguous asymmetric centres. This methodology is currently applied for the synthesis of various natural products and analogues (ulosonics, peptido- nucleosides, linear aminoalcohols, azasugars…).

He also focused in two other subjects developed through the years in relation with redox systems of natural products in plants. More precisely he developed a) synthesis cinnamic derivatives and enzymatic studies in relation with the lignification process in plants and b) total synthesis, extraction, characterization of three natural endoperoxides named G (growth) factors, issued from eucalyptus species. He currently developed synthetic methods for elaborating of cinnamic derivatives (in relation to cardiovascular diseases) and efficient synthesis of G factors and functionalized analogues in relation to antimalarial activities.

In 2004 He became Director of Research in the CNRS and in 2007 became of the laboratory.

  Dr. Baltas 发表200多篇学术论文,现为《Drug Discovery》杂志编委。
